The city of Hanoi will deploy an energy control networking system for that will serve as the foundation for the country’s first smart street lighting system. The new street lighting system will be composed of Echelon’s segment controllers running its Control Operating System (COS) and ElcomTek’s energy management software to initially control 28,000 streetlights and help reduce energy consumption. The project is anticipated to be completed in March and represents around 25% of all the street lights in Hanoi.
